"Linda, you've created your own kind of shortbread."

That declaration, the tender underbelly of her words in a live, back and forth interview, so caught me off-guard as to momentarily require recapturing my breath. Sarah was recording her interview with me for the Meaningful Marketplace podcast.

Sarah Masoni is widely known in the Pacific Northwest as a liaison between the Oregon State University Food Innovation Center and the food manufacturing industry. She's affectionately known as the "woman with the million dollar palate", a moniker she gladly and deservedly owns. Dedicated to food entrepreneurship, she's helped to launch countless startup concepts into market viability.

I see the writing process as a metaphor for product development. Both processes have the same sway, require the same tinkering, engender the same push to step outside whatever self-imposed creative restrictions I have.
