, were on time! Astoria Oregon, here we come!

Our first stop is the local coffee drive-thru for caffeine and a munchie for the hour and forty-two minute drive from our home in Hillsboro, Oregon. We defer engaging our favorite navigation app, Waze, until we are westbound on Oregon Highway 26. Coffee in hand, it's 5 minutes to the on-ramp. Green light ushers us onto the highway. We discover the traffic to be flowing at the speed limit and few vehicles around us. Maybe it has something to do with choosing the Sunday of a 3-day weekend, maybe the early hour. Regardless, we are pleased with the light traffic.

Time for navigation. We engage Waze and Sara politely announces the route and drive time. Fortunately I had previously entered the day's travels into the Waze "Plan a Drive" function, with our first stop set for Ship Out Fish & Chips, an Astoria funky  food-cart style eatery with notable fish and chips.
